Join us this summer for our 35th season of Montana Music Institute! A Montana tradition, MMI provides students ages four and older an opportunity to explore their creativity and expand their musical horizons, while learning new skills, gaining confidence, and making new friends. Our week-long camp offers specialized instruction from outstanding regional faculty in strings, piano, ukulele, guitar, harp, voice and choir, musical theatre, drumming, theory, chess, and more. No previous experience needed, although seasoned musicians will appreciate the advanced classes and opportunities to play in ensembles.
Students who have completed kindergarten or beyond will choose five classes from a diverse list of offerings. Try out an instrument new to you, study your instrument with an expert in that field, or explore an elective. The daily schedule includes a recital time, snacks, and lunch with your new friends. Students move from class to class with the help of our teen student assistants.
Pre-K students who are at least four years old may sign up for our half-day Mini-Camp. Mini Camp provides a themed exploration of music and the arts through instruction in keyboard, violin, art, movement, and more. Mini campers stay in the same few rooms, where parents drop off and pick up. A morning and an afternoon session are available. Enrollment is limited to 20 students for the A.M. session and 20 students for the P.M. session.
