On Monday morning, we invite you to come to MMI with your child, pick up his or her camp materials, tour the building to find classrooms together, and attend the Camp Kickoff. Camp Kickoff is for parents and students and will be held Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. in the auditorium.
Each other day of camp, you may drop off at the front entrance. You are always welcome to accompany your child to class or walk with him or her from class to class.
If your child becomes ill or must miss any part of the week, you must contact the MMI office in advance at 855-0919 to report his or her absence. We need to know where your child is during the entire MMI day.
At the end of the day (3:00 p.m.), please meet your child at the front entrance to the school or at a designated point inside the building. MMI board members oversee the children’s departure at the end of each day.
For understandable reasons, if your child is in MMI Mini Camp, we require you to come into the classroom to drop off and to pick up your child.
For lunch, a student may bring a sack lunch from home or purchase a lunch at MMI for $5.50/day. You will choose lunches and pay for them during the online registration process.

A healthy snack is included for all children.
Parents and siblings are invited to eat lunch every day with MMI campers, for the same price! You can purchase these additional lunches in the MMI office on the first day of camp.
On Thursday, following the Faculty Recital, bring the whole family for a picnic! You may purchase sack lunches for the festive mid-day meal on the lawn in the MMI office on the first day of camp.
We invite the public to attend our free daily recitals in the auditorium at Lewis & Clark Middle School.
MONDAY – WEDNESDAY 11:40 AM — Students!
We heartily encourage students at every level to perform for the daily recitals. It is an honor to share your talents with other students and is inspiring for those who are new to music. If you play an instrument, sing, or dance, we hope you will consider performing during recitals on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.
To be considered for recitals, students must complete and mail the recital application form and email a video of their polished recital piece to firstname.lastname@example.org by May 31, preferably in the .mov format. We encourage students to memorize their recital pieces for performance. Unfortunately, to keep recital length reasonable, we may not be able to accept everyone who auditions.

Please join us for our outstanding faculty concert, showcasing the many talents of a diverse faculty from around the region. Family members and community members are always invited.
FRIDAY 11:40 AM — Orchestras
Enjoy our three student orchestras in concert!
Student orchestras will perform selections from their week’s repertoire. Come share in their accomplishments.
On Friday, join your child in his/her classroom as the students present what they have learned during the week! The orchestras will perform during the Friday recital, and other classes will perform for parents during their Friday class times. We hope you can visit your child in a few classes, to appreciate all that has been learned during the week. At the close of the day Friday, join us on the front patio for an ice cream social and serenade by our drummers and fiddlers! See our adjusted daily schedule here.
End-of-Camp Celebration on the Lawn: Ice Cream for All!

Bring the whole family to chill out with ice cream on the lawn during our end of camp celebration!
Our youngest students (pre-K, ages 4+) participate in MMI Mini Camp. Morning session is 8:30 – 11:15 and afternoon session is 12:15 – 3:00. Mini campers are introduced to violin, keyboard, rhythms, and art, and they explore music through song, drumming, and movement. Fueled by their natural curiosity, mini campers rotate through a schedule of activities around a chosen theme for the week. Enrollment is limited to 20 students for the A.M. session and 20 students for the P.M. session.
While full-day campers have classes throughout the building, MMI mini campers stay in the same few rooms. Parents are not required to accompany their children to mini camp, but must accompany any mini campers who wish to attend the daily recital at 11:40 a.m.
